Malaysian offshore and shipping giant MISC has purchased a brand new floating storage and offloading vessel from US independent Hess and agreed to lease back the floater to the same company.
The bareboat charter agreement between the two parties sees the Mekar Bergading FSO leased to Hess for 16 years with an estimated contract value to MISC of $441 million, starting at the latest by 1 September 2018.
