Australian onshore drilling contractor Mitchell Services has made a proposal to acquire the drilling division of compatriot AJ Lucas.
The offer is non-binding, incomplete and indicative, said AJ Lucas, which did not disclose any further information.
AJ Lucas said its drilling division Lucas Drilling Services provides surface to in-seam drilling services predominantly to the East Coast market.
