Chubu will buy up to 540,000 tonnes per annum of LNG from Petronas subsidiary MLNG for 20 years starting in 2011.
The LNG will be shipped from MLNG in Sarawak, East Malaysia, to Chubu's receiving facilities in Yokkaichi, Kawagoe and Chita on an ex-ship basis by vessels owned and operated by another Petronas subsidiary, MISC.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
