MODEC has negotiated an extension for one of its floaters operating in Vietnam, but a separate vessel is off contract and has been sold..
The Japanese floating production company said the extension applies to the Rang Dong MV17 floating storage and offloading vessel, which had its charter extended for a firm 7.5 years plus three one-year options.
The FSO is located on the Rang Dong field in Block 15-2 operated by Japan Vietnam Petroleum.
