Modec signed the “joint development and testing agreement” in partnership with clean fuels technology company Velocys and Toyo Engineering Corporation.
The agreement provides for the construction and operation of an integrated pilot GTL plant in Fortaleza, northeastern Brazil, Modec said.
The plant will incorporate the Velocys’ microchannel reactor and catalyst technologies for the steam methane reforming and Fischer-Tropsch sections of the plant, Modec said.
