MOGE has received 52 expressions of interest from companies and consortia with suggestions, although many of these were unrealistic and some not even located on the coast or on a suitable river.
Others had proposed locations that either were not designated for industrial use or had no or unsuitable road access.
A source says that a new supply bases could realistically be operational by early 2020, if MOGE delays the tender process no further.
