Repsol Sinopec Resources UK has brought on line its Montrose Area Redevelopment (MAR) project off the UK with first oil from the Shaw field.
A new bridge-linked production platform (BLP) has been connected to the Montrose Alpha facility to provide additional processing capacity to support the redevelopment effort.
The launch marks a milestone for the scheme that involves developing three new fields — Godwin, Cayley and Shaw — and extending the lives of existing ones.
