The company started installation of the first of nine mooring lines of the FPSO in 1500 metres of water last week, and is expected to link the first oil producer in the Baleia Azul field by the end of the month.
“We will start pre-salt output from Baleia Azul in August, as soon as well BAZ-2 is linked to the FPSO,” said Petrobras exploration and production director Jose Miranda Formigli.
