The two gas fields previously discovered were the Shams EN-1 well, which tested 40 million cubic feet of gas and 1177 bpd of condensate, and the SW-1 well with 49 million cubic feet and 2200 bpd. Repsol owns 50% of the contractor group in the Khalda concession and is the operator of the group with partners Apache (40%) and Samsung (10%).
More gas in Egypt for Repsol
SPANISH oil company Repsol has discovered gas and condensate in the Khalda concession in Egypt's western desert, its third discovery in the past four months. The discovery well, TUT-22, tested 90 million cubic feet of gas and 4000 barrels per day of condensate.
