The Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) was receiving additional submissions this week in a case which will define the validity of a no-confidence vote held in Guyana in December, but the court has not yet indicated when judgement will be given, writes Gareth Chetwynd.

The CCJ, a supranational court which serves as the highest court of appeal for several Caribbean Community nations, held a two-day hearing on Guyana's crucial case last week, but reserved judgement on whether the no-confidence vote, held on 21 December 2018, requires early elections to be held.
