Canadian regulators will get more time decide on the future of the controversial Trans Mountain expansion (TMX) project looking to carry more crude from the Alberta oil sands to markets on the British Columbia coast, writes Caroline Evans.
The federal government now has until 18 June to decide whether to approve the project, which would nearly triple capacity on an existing pipeline from Edmonton, Alberta to a port on the West Coast.
