Industry veteran Ali Moshiri is targeting a comeback, scouting out opportunities in Latin America via an oil and gas start-up that the longtime Chevron regional president has been working on for some time since stepping down from the US supermajor.
Formed in May 2017, Moshiri's new venture called Amos Energy is already in talks with provincial oil company GyP over entry to a block in Argentina’s Vaca Muerta shale, with sights also set on possible opportunities in Mexico and Colombia, he told Upstream on the sidelines of the recent CERAWeek by IHS Markit event.
