The vessel, MPI Adventure, will be managed by MPI Offshore, the UK-based subsidiary of VOS. Cosco is also building a sister vessel, MPI Discovery.
The two vessels were scheduled to be delivered by Cosco in the first and third quarters of this year. The total investment in the two vessels is expected to come to about $550 million.
MPI Adventure is one of the first wind installation vessels to be built in China.
