The agency that runs Malaysia’s licensing rounds on behalf of Petronas has worked hard in the past year to promote the idea that the exploration acreage being offered is oil-prone, writes Russell Searancke.
In the 2017 round, launched one year ago, Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM) said the 13 blocks on offer would have “contiguous linkages with the blocks that are to be offered in 2018 and forward years”.
