US independent Murphy Oil is working on a second development phase at the Siakap North-Petai (SNP) field it operates at Block K on the west coast of Sabah in Malaysia, involving a tie-back of an additional subsea production system to existing facilities.

Although Murphy is in the process of selling its Malaysian assets to Thailand's PTTEP, sources said Norway’s Aker Solutions is carrying out a front-end engineering and design study for the field expansion, covering four subsea trees and other facilities such as manifolds, jumpers, cables and pipelines.
