The operator is developing the DeSoto Canyon area field with at least two subsea wells tied back to the Chevron-operated Petronius compliant tower in Viosca Knoll Block 786.
Bids are in and under review for the installation of the 22-mile (35.2-kilometre) pipe-in-pipe oil line, six-inch diameter gas line and associated umbilical that will be utilised on the project.
The Dalmatian field was discovered in 2008 when a well in DeSoto Canyon Block 48 hit 120 feet of gas pay.
