Australian independent Santos is preparing to permanently shut down the Mutineer-Exeter oil project off Western Australia.
Santos said in a regulatory filing that production is declining, so output will be shut in during April, with the project’s leased floating production, storage and offloading vessel scheduled to depart in the second quarter.
The FPSO is the Modec Venture 11, which is owned and operated by Japan’s Modec.
