Towards the latter part of the third quarter, the Mutineer multi-phase pump (MPP) suffered technical problems and was shut down, the operator said.
"The resultant production capacity reduction of 5000 to 10,000 barrels per day will be addressed with the installation of a replacement MPP in November 2005," said Santos.
Overall field production averaged about 78,200 bpd over the third quarter with minimal downtime.
