State-owned Myanma Oil & Gas Enterprise (MOGE) last year launched a tender for joint-venture offshore supply bases and reportedly received more than 50 expressions of interest from local and foreign contractors.
However, the tender process stalled and none of the companies that applied have been called up.
A MOGE official claimed that these EoIs would remain relevant and that the tender to build and operate several supply bases would be revived, hopefully later this year.
