A high-profile stunt incorporating the ancient Nazca Lines geoglyphs in Peru’s Nazca Desert to coincide with the UN Climate Change Conference in Lima has seen its tactics get a kicking from the country’s government.
Twenty Greenpeace activists from the likes of Brazil, Argentina and Germany descended on the UNESCO World Heritage site at dawn on Monday, laying large yellow cloth letters next to one geoglyph that read: “Time for Change! The Future is Renewable.”
