Private equity-backed Neptune Energy has extended a contract with Rosenberg Worley to include additional modifications on the Gjoa semi-submersible platform in the North Sea off Norway.

The engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning contracts, with an undisclosed value, were awarded under the existing Gjoa topsides modification frame agreement signed with the unit of the Australian contractor last year.

At the time, Rosenberg WorleyParsons — as it was known before WorleyParsons changed its name to Worley — secured the Neptune contract to fabricate and install a new topsides module on the Gjoa field platform to cater for the subsea tie-back of Wintershall’s Nova satellite find off Norway.
