Under an agreement signed last week with China's Xinjiang Guanghui Group, Newbridge will invest up to $300 million in an LNG processing plant in north-western China's Xinjiang autonomous region.
The new investment will aim to triple Guanghui's gas processing capacity to 4.5 million cubic metres per day over the next three years, a senior Guanghui official said.
Guanghui's LNG business is spearheaded by its Xinjiang Guanghui LNG Development subsidiary.
