Papua New Guinea's Oil Search is preparing to spud an exploration well at the existing Gobe oilfield targeting a new structural type.
The Gobe Footwall probe will be drilled from an existing well pad in the Gobe Main field, and is targeting a large feature that, if successful, could be tied into the existing Gobe production facilities, said Oil Search.
