Sonangol has taken delivery of Sonangol Libongos, the first of two drillships to be built by South Korea's Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering for Angola's state oil company.
Sonangol Libongos and its seventh generation sister drillship Sonangol Quenguela — which is due for delivery from Daewoo next quarter — will join the fleet of Sonadrill, the 50:50 joint venture between Sonangol and Oslo-listed Seadrill, on bareboat charters.
