Norway’s Equinor has made a small oil discovery at Utsira High in the North Sea, with the Lille Prinsen Outer Wedge well (16/1-30 S well) in production licence 167.
The company, with its partners Lundin and Spirit Energy, was given permission to drill the well and the 16/1-30 A sidetrack well earlier this year.
The wells were drilled about one kilometre west of the Lille Prinsen Main discovery well by the West Phoenix drilling rig.
