Fresh investment could allow daily production from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) oilfield to increase but sources at state oil company Socar said it would only be for a short period and the funds are mainly expected to be directed to increasing recovery and stemming declining output, writes Kama Mustafayeva.
Current production from the ACG development in Azerbaijan's Caspian Sea waters is about 580,000 barrels per day of oil and 33 million cubic metres per day of associated gas.
