The US Energy Information Administration estimated that domestic gas production in August hit a record high of 92.2 billion cubic feet per day, writes Julia Martinez.
According to the EIA's monthly report, gas output is expected to be sufficient to meet demand and liquefied natural gas export levels at prices lower than previously forecast.
The agency lowered its Henry Hub spot price forecast to an average of $2.55
