The Rubicon Vantage FPSO is a dynamically-positioned vessel and recently a new mooring had to be installed on the floater.
The vessel remained on location at the field, and the new mooring was successfully mounted on board, said a Salamander spokesman.
The spokesman denied that the new mooring was installed because the dynamic positioning system was not performing as expected, and the additional mooring system was needed to maintain FPSO's position.
