MEXICAN state oil company Pemex has a new leader after Jose Antonio Gonzalez Anaya was appointed by Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto to replace Emilio Lozoya Austin.
President Nieto, who made the appointment this week, said the new chief’s goal would be twofold — to speed up the transformation of Pemex under energy reforms and improve its operational and financial strength, even in a period of low oil prices.
