The tender will result in the construction of the production semi-submersible unit P-55 and the floating production, storage and offloading vessel P-57, each capable of handling 180,000 barrels per day of oil.
According to the procedure being hatched by Petrobras, the two engineering, procurement and construction contracts will be rolled into one tender process, with two different winners.
The process is scheduled to begin in September with the distribution of documents, the final version of which should be delivered in February or March, according to Jose Antonio de Figueiredo, general manager for the south and south-east regions.
