The contractor signed a memorandum of understanding with state giant Saudi Aramco to build the facility at the maritime complex being developed at Ras Al-Khair, where Aramco and its project partners are yet to make a final investment decision.
Aramco said the MoU involves the “integrated engineering, procurement, construction and installation of offshore platforms” by McDermott, with the project set to include a “high level” of local workers.
