For the past week, crews with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB), the Canadian Coast Guard, the Canadian military and a variety of other agencies, searched the ocean and found the remains of the helicopter along with the bodies of 15 passengers and two crew of Cougar Helicopter's Flight 491.
News of the crash filtered through to St John's on 12 March after the Coast Guard received a distress signal at 9.18am
