Nicke Widyawati, who has just been formally appointed as permanent director of Pertamina, has highlighted as one of her main priorities the management of upstream projects awarded to the Indonesian state oil company after the expiry of production sharing contracts with previous operators, writes Amanda Battersby.
Nicke, who has been acting president director since predecessor Elia Massa Manik was ousted in April said her initial strategy would be twofold — concentrating on these upstream projects and also in the downstream, accelerating refinery upgrades.
