Wells should be drilled between 2008 and 2010 in OPL 276––where Centrica is partnered by local companies CCC Oil&Gas and Albright Waves Petroleum Development.
The operator is aiming to charter a rig for three years.
If commercial gas is hit, it could be used as feedstock for a proposed LNG plant––subject of a memorandum of understanding between Centrica, Consolidated Contractors Company and StatoilHydro.
