The Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialisation Programme (NGFCP) has received 240 fee-paid applications from companies interested in the current licensing round designed to allocate access to gas flare sites for ventures able to monetise wasted gas resources.

The statements of qualification will now go before a Proposal Evaluation Committee, inaugurated by Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Ibe Kachikwu on 11 April, to establish compliance with financial and technical criteria.
