Two US citizens, Cody Oswalt and Russell Spell, along with Briton John Hudspith were handed over in Warri to Ijaw community Chief Edwin Clark, all apparently in good health.
Nine hostages were taken on 18 February while working aboard a barge operated by Willbros for Shell on the Yokri-Forcados pipeline in the western delta. Six were later released on 1 March as a "humanitarian gesture" by the group dubbed the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (Mend).
