The move will perhaps open up a formal round in early January 2005 and Petroleum Ministry officials have been in Houston discussing with technical partners the blocks to be presented to the industry this November.
The official mission is expected back in the capital Abuja this week. Subsequently, all the work carried out to integrate existing survey data by local seismic indie Mabon and TGS-Nopec will be analysed by the Department of Petroleum Affairs (DPR).
