Nigerian militants this week threatened to renew attacks on oil installations if the government proceeds with announced senior appointments to the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), a body set up to co-ordinate development of the oil creeks.
The Reformed Niger Delta Avengers (RNDA) and a coalition of nine other militant groups led by self-styled “General” Johnmark Ezonbi, also known as Obama, warned “greedy power-drunk politicians” against collaborating with regional leaders to “transfer supervision of the NDDC to the Office of Secretary to Government of the Federation (OSGF).
