Nigerian flagship gas enterprise Nigeria LNG, with Shell as technical adviser and 25.6% shareholder, has evolved into a major export earner since 2000, operating from six trains on Bonny Island and securing a reduction in flaring from around 70% to 20% of all gas produced, writes Barry Morgan.
Capable of shipping 22 million tonnes per annum and 5 million tpa of natural gas liquids, NLNG aims to add 30 million tpa with Train-7.
