THE Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialisation Programme (NGFCP) this week began pre-qualification assessment of 250 companies expressing interest in bidding for 178 flare sites across the Niger Delta, according to Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) deputy director for gas Olusanya Bajomo, writes Barry Morgan.
The Evaluation Committee, which plans to report its conclusions within a month, comprises officials from the DPR, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI).
