US President Donald Trump’s recent decision to pull the plug on a nuclear agreement with Iran is having an impact on the FIFA World Cup in Russia after sportswear giant Nike withdrew the supply of boots to the Middle East oil producer’s team.
Nike said the imposition of sanctions on the Tehran administration means that, “as a US company, (it) cannot supply shoes to the Iranian national team at this time”.
