Canadian independent Niko Resources is planning to launch arbitration against the Bangladesh government relating to non-payment for its share of output from KrisEnergy’s onshore Block 9, writes Amanda Battersby.
For more than two years the government has paid reduced amounts to KrisEnergy for gas and condensate from the Block 9 production sharing contract due to its ongoing dispute with Niko over an earlier blowout at a different onshore block.
