CNR International shut in production mid-week at a platform off the UK as the Canadian operator raced to get all personnel off the facility before an expected storm.
All personnel were being taken off the Ninian South platform 386 kilometres off Aberdeen in the northern North Sea on Wednesday afternoon as CNR scaled up its previous evacuation plan, which had involved only non-essential personnel.
