The yard capacity at its 99%-owned, 20-hectare NS Batam facility has doubled over the past 15 years, peaking at 20,000 tonnes in 2006.
NS Batam has focused largely on delivering wellhead platforms, although as with other yards in Indonesia, it has stepped up its game.
The Batam yard operator has recently delivered the jacket for Premier Oil’s Gajah Baru central processing platform and the topsides modules for Modec’s FPSO contracted to BP PSVM project off Angola.
