German operator VNG and its partners are set to develop their Pil and Bue discoveries in the Norwegian Sea as a subsea tieback to Norwegian giant Statoil’s Njord A platform.
The concept selection follows extensive screening by the German operator of three alternatives — subsea tiebacks to the Njord A or Draugen platforms, as well as possible use of the Petrojarl Varg floating production, storage and offloading vessel in the event of a standalone project.
