Noble Energy looks set to produce an extra 15,000 barrels per day of oil from its Aseng field off Equatorial Guinea’s Bioko Island after successful development drilling reported last week by the Ministry of Mines & Hydrocarbons.

Located on Block I, Aseng 6P aimed to prove an oil column of between 15 and 25 metres on the eastern flank of the field, adding reserves of 14 million barrels of oil, according to a document seen by Upstream.
