Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) is taking measures to safeguard oil facilities and export terminals amid fighting between rival factions for the control of the capital, Tripoli.
NOC chairman Mustafa Sanalla met with operating companies to discuss precautionary measures to ensure continued production and safety of staff manning vital oil operations in the North African country.
Sanalla stressed the neutrality of the oil sector and the corporation as a technical and economic institution and highlighted the importance of NOC remaining free from all political and military conflict, with no other objective than continued production, in a safe working environment, to drive national development.
