The operator of the Laminaria-Corallina oil project in the Timor Sea is seeking a semi-submersible drilling rig as part of its forthcoming effort to restore a production well, writes Russell Searancke.
Northern Oil & Gas Australia (NOGA) would ideally like to restore the Laminaria-5 well in the first quarter of 2018, but this depends on the availability of a semisub and other variables such as weather conditions, the company said in a regulatory filing.
