Russian privately-held pipeline contractor Stroygazmontazh has been awarded a major contract by state-controlled Gazprom to build about 320 kilometres of onshore pipeline in north-west Russia to help feed the Nord Stream 2 gas export pipeline, writes Vladimir Afanasiev.

Stroygazmontazh said that the work is split into two lots, with about 315 kilometres of twin pipeline to be built at the end of the Gryazovets–Slavyanskaya line.
