The Gazprom-led Nord Stream venture aims to become the operator of a new Russian gas export pipeline across the Baltic Sea to Germany.
Speaking last week on the sidelines of the Russian Petroleum & Gas Congress in Moscow, Nord Stream technical director Sergei Serdyukov said that the operator has accumulated extensive experience in tendering, construction and maintenance of the existing two legs of the Russian subsea gas pipeline that was commissioned between 2011 and 2012.
